Hey guys,

I've been reading and planning my first build and had a question regarding extra SATA power.
I'll be using SeaSonic SSR-360GP as a PSU which has 4 SATA power connectors. I'd like to use 6 drives total so I'll need molex to SATA power adapters - but I keep seeing awful reviews of them on amazon/newegg (frying drives/mobos/catching fire!)

So my question is: which brand molex to SATA power adapter should I use?

Hi steeban,

Personally I use a couple of Molex to 4X SATA power plugs that I got from Monoprice.com.

These sort of cables are pretty darn commodity, but Monoprice usually sells good stuff.

Side note: I really like that PSU, I'd be running one in my filer if it was modular.

Thanks for the reply Will

I see so many of these cheap (price and quality) power adapters, so it's nice to get a solid brand.

And the PSU just arrived, it fits great inside the bitfenix phenom!
