I tried to upgrade from 9.10 to 11 today, using the GUI update page. Switched trains to 11 release and let it run, and then the box wouldn't boot - I get an error about missing 'crypto.mod' and get to a grub rescue prompt. So I took a look at the boot USB disk and it's not readable on a Mac or Windows machine (haven't tried the Linux Mint laptop yet). It was a cheap, small USB drive, so maybe it's just dead.

Anyway, I switched to a different, higher-quality USB drive and installed FreeNAS 11 release on it. No problems with the install - it's booted up in 11 currently. So now I just want to get my RAID array mounted/visible in the new FreeNAS install. If I go to Storage > Import Volume, no volume is recognized.

from the shell: 'zpool import' shows no output. 'zpool status' shows the following:

[root@freenas ~]# zpool status
pool: freenas-boot
state: ONLINE
scan: none requested
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
freenas-boot ONLINE 0 0 0
da0p2 ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

pool: raidpool
state: ONLINE
status: Some supported features are not enabled on the pool. The pool can
still be used, but some features are unavailable.
action: Enable all features using 'zpool upgrade'. Once this is done,
the pool may no longer be accessible by software that does not support
the features. See zpool-features(7) for details.
scan: scrub repaired 0 in 10h41m with 0 errors on Sun Oct 1 08:41:20 2017
config:

NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM
raidpool ONLINE 0 0 0
raidz1-0 ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/4d4cc81d-fa10-11e5-be3d-8c89a5ff733d ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/3ba908ce-0efe-11e6-986e-8c89a5ff733d ONLINE 0 0 0
gptid/4f83dee0-fa10-11e5-be3d-8c89a5ff733d ONLINE 0 0 0

errors: No known data errors

Also, no partition errors:
[root@freenas ~]# gpart status
Name Status Components
ada0p1 OK ada0
ada0p2 OK ada0
ada1p1 OK ada1
ada1p2 OK ada1
ada2p1 OK ada2
ada2p2 OK ada2
da0p1 OK da0
da0p2 OK da0

Should I do the 'zpool upgrade' as suggested, or should I install 9.10 on the USB stick and see if i can import the volume with that version?

Thanks in advance.

Additional info - in the shell I can see the pool mounted in its normal location: /mnt/raidpool/... and can see all the files... so maybe all is well... but why can't the UI see the volume?
