Please help me to understand the following display:

Code:
Name Used Available
Pool1 8.8TiB (81%) 2.1TiB ....
   Pool1 5.9TiB (83%) 1.1TiB ....
     [other datasets]

This is a RaidZ2 pool consisting of 6 x 2TB drives, so total "useable" capacity of 4 x 2TB = 8TB ("Marketing Terabytes"). So where does the 8.8TiB figure come from? Where do the 81% and 83% figures come from? And whey aren't I getting any alerts to indicate that the pool is more than 80% full?

Can's speak to why you aren't getting alerts, but:
  • 8.8 TiB / 81% ~= 10.9 TiB ~= 12 TB, so that's your total used drive space (and percent used of available), including redundancy.
  • 5.9 TiB / 83% ~= 7.1 TiB ~= 7.8 TB, so that's your total used data space (and percent used of available).
