2 vdevs: what happens with data if disk are failure in one vdev?

Hi,

I have a raidz2 with 6 disks.
Now I wanted to expand the volume by adding a second raidz2 with 6 disks.
Befor I proceed I asked myself what happens with the data if 1 or 2 disks of the "first" vdev are failure?
Will zfs move data to the more secure second vdev? Of course only if there is enough space left.

Nothing at all. The two vdevs are independent; the system will not use space on the second to restore redundancy for the first.
