Hello there, guys I am very noob when It comes to Freenas. I think I set up everything correctly. This is my work Freenas server. The one I have at home I never seen this problem before. It happened after I updated to the new 11.2 version and added Samsung 1TB MvMe for Cache. for some reason my 10 GB connection speed is acting like this and my normal 1GB Connection is just as slow. As you can see by the screenshot I am able to access the share drive but It is so slow that I can't do much more than that. If anyone could help me I would really appreciated. I already lost weeks with this thing and don't know what else to do. (If you need more info about the machine or whatever you need just ask and I can screen shot it)

Thank You so much!

You could start by helping us to understand exactly what hardware you have...

Which brand/model of 10G NIC? How is the 1G NIC connected? (and brand/model) Are those NICs both connected to the same network?

What HBA are you using?

How much RAM and what CPU in the server?

This all happened after the 11.2 update... so you are saying it worked well before that update with no other change than that having been made?

Oh I am so sorry, I thought I added this screenshot but apparently i didn't. I have the Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F/F that comes with Intel Xeon D-1541 2.10Ghz, I have 64GIG ECC memory. I also have 8 TB Barracuda drives in there with 1 TB SSD for cache. I was using the NIC that came with the X399 Zenith Extreme Motherboard but now I switched to ASUS XG-C100C 10G. The reason I stopped using this NIC is it used to overheat. I took the heatsink from the one of the Zenith motherboard and adapted to this one but I am still experiencing slow downs when trying to copy server. Even though It's a bit different though.

This is me copying a 2GB file from the server to my Desktop:

But now It hangs like this for 10 seconds and speeds up and completes the process. It is not hanging and crashing like it was with the other NIC. Do you know what could be making the connection to act this way now?

To answer your question yes, It happened after I updated to the new version or I could have just fried my NIC... It was sitting right next to my graphics card (which i fried by connecting an HDMI cable coming from an HDMI splitter 4 days ago)

Thanks for your patience and support.

I really appreciate it!
