qBittorrent Bug or the problem is on my side

Hi

I'm trying to install qBittorrent and I get this error

I don't understand why I can't install qBittorrent on the same dataset with SMB

There are many similar threads about this technical issue. For most home users you can solve this by disabling "host path validation" (or something similar) on the APPs page, settings -> advanced.
AFAIK, the issue is that SAMBA clients *can* change ACL's (permission) of files. iX wants to be safe for enterprise use.

Dude, you just made my week. Been trying to reinstall qBittorrent for the past few days and stuck on this. Was doing my head in.

Thanks so much . Took awhile to find this post ( rest just said to create NFS shares ect) and most google results / setup videos seem to be from earlier builds that did not have this safety feature. Such simple fix.

I created a dedicated SMB share for this folder just in case permissions did end up getting wrecked.
