Hey guys,

Server running 11.3-U4.1 crashed and now it refuses to boot.

It first spends a lot of time looping through this.

Then it gets stuck at this. I've left it for 1 hour each time and it doesn't get past it.

Boot drive is an SSD so the long delay doesn't make sense.

Appreciate any help/suggestions/clues.

Thanks

Looks like the boot drive has failed. If you have a config saved, I would try a fresh install with config upload.

Unfortunately I disconnected drives one by one and it's not the boot drive. With only boot drive connected it boots up fine. Plugged drives back in one by one but keep getting booted from the GUI after 2 drives. Seems to be a 11.3 issue so currently upgrading to 12.0 before plugging the drives back in again.

If it was ever working stable on 11.3, I would recommend against upgrading until you know what the issue is. I've been on 11.3 for a long time and it is rock solid. Upgrading while experiencing a problem will complicate your troubleshooting efforts...

There was a PSU issue and I suspect it might have affected some drives.
I can rebuild the data from a secondary backup but I need the system up and running before the backup fails as well.

My point remains sound advice. Upgrading will likely NOT fix your issue. Additionally, it seems as if more of the story comes out with every post.

If you want more useful assistance, I suggest you post your system specs and the full story. If you can boot the system without your data pool connected, you may have bigger issues. Without the entire story any advice you receive here will probably be less than helpful.
