Hey guys. So I upgraded to TrueNAS, but I can no longer access the server by my file explorer anymore. It keeps saying it is inaccessable. I'm putting in the right passwords, and if I log in thru the browser, I can log in just fine!

Is there anything that I'm missing?

One of the things that changed is that you cannot longer use the root UID to access shares. You have to define a user/group for every share. Once done, you will be able to access the shares with their UID and PW.

Ok. SO I have my profile on it. DO I set that in SMB? Or is that under Users?

You first set up the user in in the "users" section and then appoint the user in the SMB shares filesystem ACL. I must say, i always found configuring ACL's in Free/TrueNAS cumbersome. I have always used windows explorer to configure access rights.

Thanks. I may have figured it out. I'll test it and get back to you soon.
