Ram Upgrade 16 --> 32GB reboot loop.

Hello everyone,

I installed the ram I just got today, and was able to boot into Freenas no problem, it showed the 32GB of total ram, I then started up my VM and was using my VM, and Freenas Crashed.

I then tried to turn it back on and not able to get it to turn back on it was stuck in a boot cycle.

I then removed the new ram sicks and was able to reboot into Freenas.

Has anyone seen this before?

They are the same ram sicks down to the part number.

I have a ASROCK B450M Pro4 Motherboard

Anyone have any Ideas? is this a hardware issue on my end?

The part number can be the same but the chips may be different part numbers. Your system may be THAT sensitive to differences.

It's always a good idea to test new RAM. Then you'll know whether or not you have a hardware problem. I use the free version of MemTest86, available here:
