I'm sorry heres my second question. Is there a 16 Port LSI HBA that's fairly cheap and reliable that you would recommend I use.

I use a cheap M1015 with expanders and a JBOD in addition to the 14 ports on my motherboard

The 16 port cards are to expensive

I have 38 3.5" hotswap bays and populate 30 of them permanently
