on mac virtualbox cannot install FreeNAS

On mac book pro with virtualbox can not install FreeNAS what can I do?

You can get another machine and install FreeNAS.

Please post the error message. Otherwise, we are guessing. My guess is that you have not or cannot give the VM enough memory.

For starters, you should allocate the minimum required RAM: 8GB

I have only 8G physical on mac and when set in VM base memory for FREENAS to be 8GB it is not allow me to continue...

Then you will need to find another machine that meet the minimum hardware recommendations in order to play.

Works for me on a Mac with Parallels.

Try better vm software.

Seriously? FreeNAS will install just fine under VirtualBox on both Linux and Mac (and no doubt on Windows as well, but I haven't tested it there). And no, despite this being necro'd after being dead for a year, you don't need 8 GB RAM assigned to spin up the instance and play around with it. This obviously isn't a setup you'd want to use in production, but in general it should work.
