Question's about freeNAS

Hello me and my farther are looking to use software to help make a server.

What we would like to know is can freeNAS function as a:

Web server
Email server​

Any confirmation or help is greatly appreciated.

If you need a server that can act as web and mail server, just use Ubuntu or CentOS.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: If you customize the heck out of FreeNAS, it is possible. But the amount of time you will spend doing it is not worth trying. Just do what Bever said. FreeNAS makes a great File Server. Use it only for what it was designed for.
