I am new to freenas I will be using this for my home lab so I have a few questions. I would like to know does Freenas support thin provisioning and scsi 3 persistent reservations? I will be testing some Microsoft clusters and scsi 3 reservations is a requirement. Also this will be connecting to my 2 ESXI servers using ISCSI I plan on using MPIO.

Yes and yes. The istgt iSCSI (the default in 9.2.1.x) provides support for Windows 2008 clustering. The kernel iSCSI, which is experimental in 9.2.1.x and the default in the upcoming 9.3, adds support for 2012 clustering.

How is the thin provisioning features also when will 9.2.1.x be released? I ask because I am actually looking at work with server 2012.

I have FreeNas serving volume over iscsi to Win2008 Node A and Node B, both Nodes have been mounted with the iscsi volume successfully, but Node B cannot locate data added by node A and vice-versa. What mistake I am doing? can you please point it out.

Thanks

First of all, this thread is 2 years old.

Secondly, it sounds like you aren't using any kind of clustering which is a huge no-no with iscsi and multiple hosts.

You need to spend some time reading up on iscsi.
