I have Dell PowerEdge 2900 server with RAID 5 disks and FreeNAS 8.0.3 installed in it. I just noticed that I see "Predictive failure: PD 03" warning in console and one of the disks is blinking alternately green and orange led. What is predictive failure?

Predictive failure is S.M.A.R.T. reporting that a gradual degradation of the drive has been noticed and you are advised to replace it before complete failure.
This prediction is based on many things, such as read errors and the like. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T. for more specific info.

It may however be a bug in the drive firmware, and assuming you have your data backed up and such (insert data safety disclaimer here); I personally would check to see if a drive firmware update is available, and if so, update to it. Then watch the S.M.A.R.T. indicators to see if the problem still exists. But then again, I'm cheap.

Aren't we all.

[OT] It's nearly July where are my damn falling hard drive prices? I can't run a mirror forever! [/OT]

The drive is failing, don't bother with firmware, you are running RAID 5 and replace the drive now! Do not wait or you are asking for trouble. FYI, hardware RAID isn't recommended with ZFS.
