Hello everyone.

I've got a pretty odd problem, I think.
I suddenly got an alarm in the FreeNAS dashboard, telling me that my jail volume was 83% full, but it is recommended to keep it under 80%.

I went to Reporting -> Partition, and saw that my transmission jail was eating almost 400GB of space. The weird thing is, that the download folder in my transmission jail, only takes around 200GB of space, and I can't seem to figure out where the last 300GB are being used in the transmission jail?

Thanks in advance!

did you setup and incomplete folder? I doubt that would have 600GB worth of files though.

Maybe you set the jail dataset to have copies=2? I don't think this zfs option is exposed to the FreeNAS WebUI though.

I'm not sure what you mean with "setup and incomplete folder"?
I haven't been messing around in anything else that the WebUI, so I copies should'nt be =2 :)

I added a "D" I meant "setup an incomplete folder". If you didn't then you shouldn't need to worry about it.

zfs get space | more will indicate if any space is being used for snapshots (look for the dataset for your transmission jail). IIRC, jails were being automatically snapshotted for some period of 9.3, but that default was recently fixed in a software update.

This commands returns nothing :)

You're running that command from the Shell of the Freenas system?

Do you have multiple datasets under your jail disk? Each dataset is it's own section in the filesystem and total space available can be not what you expect.

I haven't done anything to the jail since I installed the transmission plugin - So no, I haven't created any datasets in the jail :)
