zfs diff error

Hi folks
I want to compare two older (2 years) ZFS snapshots

Code:

zfs diff <snapshot1> <snapshot2>
...
...
Unable to determine path or stats for object 178005 <path>: No such file or directory

I´ve found this ancient thread https://www.truenas.com/community/threads/zfs-diff-returns-error.15359/ stating that this is a bug in zfs-diff.

Has the bug not been fixed in the last few years or is this a new problem?
