ZFS cloning mantaining ratio

i'm resilvering a ZFS 1Tb SATA and i wanted to respect the compression ratio without having to read and recompress each file from a lot of files.
the destination SATA is smaller than the source

It doesn't work that way. To resilver you must use a hard drive that is the same size or bigger than the old one.
