zdb is broken

i tried running zdb but it gives the error:

cannot open '/boot/zfs/zpool.cache': No such file or directory.

zdb give much better information than zfs and zpool.

fantastic! my FreeNAS box is in production so i can't test on it, i'll try and get a VM setup to give it a try soon.
