Hi there FreeNAS community.

I am running 9.2.1.9 with ZFS and for the most part seems to be working well, except that I have to write twice every time I want to save something.

During the first attempt, I receive a permissions error and a 0KB file is created on the share (NFS). Once that has been created, I can then write to the share if I choose to replace the existing 0KB file. Additionally, I can never save a download from browser to the share. It will create the 0KB file and give me the permission error the first time, but then it will continue to do the same, so for downloads I save locally first, then go through the "write twice" procedure to save to the share.

I believe this is a permissions issue, but maybe not with the share specifically. My user account on FreeNAS seems to work fine and I can mount the share no problem.

Any advice?

Sorry, that does sound like a permission problem, but I don't know how to fix it as I'm not a complete wizard with NFS. :(

1. NFS calls them exports not shares.
2. Does your uid on your local machine match the uid of the account on FreeNAS.
