I think i know the problem, its the whole CMR vs SMR drive thing. About 6 months ago, i builded my DIY Nas server. Everything works fine, after watching some youtube video. Getting SMB and permissions setup. But i bought my drives in batches of 4's. First set CMR, next was SMR (Insert PEBCAK here)
First 3-4 months, got full 1Gb speed. Around 100-112 Mb/s. Now its slowing down to around 30Mb/s, and the disk busy graph, shows the SMR drivers with higher use. Its random in its slow down, it only appears after 4 or 12GB of data has been transfered. The pool was around 50% full, before it starting to slow down.

So i think my only course of action, is to replace the SMR drivers.
