I've played around with this a couple of times now and given up a little too quickly when I failed to boot from the mounted CD-ROM device.
This post was more for anyone who might have done the same, and just to let them know that if you type 'exit' and then press Enter and hit Enter again (on 1 Continue) you can then press any key to boot from the CD-ROM iso.
Managed to get Windows Server 2016 up and running in no time this afternoon :D
