Windows shares

Well, I got quite an annoying problem;
On my main computer, I am unable to connect to the windows shares of the NAS device.
All with the same settings, same domain, same username. No effect.
I also tried on another laptop and didn't work either. So I'm kind of out of ideas. I'm relatively new to freeBSD distro but I like it.

I think it would help if you posted more information about your situation.
For example, you say there are 2 computers you're unable to connect to the NAS. Are there others you are able to connect with? What are the differences between those that work, and those that don't?
What settings are you using on FreeNAS?

As far as I know, there are no differences between those computers.
Machines that are not able too connect to the NAS device:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (dekstop)
Windows 7 Home Premium x86 (laptop)
Machine that is able too connect to the NAS device:
Windows 7 Ultime x86 (laptop)

The creditentials I used on the working laptop:
freenas\dries
password
Result: Succesfull access to the shares.

The creditentials I used on my desktop:
freenas\dries
samepassword

Am I doing something wrong or missing on something?

Okay... After experimenting with some hostnames, I eventually came to the IP address. Used the same creditentials and it worked.
I don't understand how I can use the netBIOS name to list all shares, but can't access any file (even while authenticating myself) on the server.

I've never tried using the netBIOS name. I have DNS setup and use that. It works (for me) with Windows (XP, Vista, 7), OSX, and FreeBSD.

If you don't have a working DNS solution, I would suggest you modify your hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) to include an entry for your FreeNAS
It would look something like this:
192.168.0.250 freenas.local freenas

Then you should be able to refer to it by name instead of IP.
Note that if you have a bunch of systems, it would make more sense to use DNS so you don't have to modify those files when you add systems to the network, or your freenas ip changes.

Although I have DDNS enabled and have static hostname now (using no-ip.com service) I'm still configuring that so that's trouble for later.

I was thinking of internal DNS, not external DNS.
