I have a laptop that I use at home and on the road. Currently, I used the Windows built-in backup to back up to a NAS. This works fine when I am only traveling in my local area and I will be home every night. I want to alternately backup to an external HDD when I am on the road, though.

At present, I just change the backup settings when I am out of town, so that I backup to the external HDD. This works okay, but is there a better solution, that is more elegant and efficient than having to change my settings every time I travel out of town?

Use Backblaze.

Cheers,
Matt

Not even close to a workable solution, I am afraid. For one, I only have a 60/5 connection, so uploading multiple TB of data will take months.

The real reason I want to be able to back up to multiple drives is because I need to back up to an external HDD when I am on the road. I often need to back up hundreds of GB of pictures/video, and I have often, at best, crappy hotel wifi.
