Hi

Looks like that when the domain controller specified as KDC goes down winbind cant talk to the domain.
Is it possible to put two KDC or make freenas look in the DNS for the next domain controller ?

No, I just rebooted the freenas server after my dc in the kdc field came online again.

I'm having this issue as well. Rebooting is not a solution as this provides storage for my VM hosts. If my first domain controller goes away, FreeNAS refuses to connect to the second. From the terminal, nslookup, host, and dig can all find the second DC. Both DCs are running DNS and FreeNas has both DNS addresses. wbinfo complains that it cannot find the domain and attempting to rejoin from the GUI results in "Unable to find domain controllers for #####."

Running FreeNas 11.1-U4

Update: Discovered I can re-connect if I switch the order of the DNS entries in the Network tab. Some reason active directory only seems to use the first DNS.

Ok, that sounds like a problem. Have you thought of creating a bug ?
