[Solved] Will not 'start' ntpdate because ntpdate_enable is NO.

I looked in /etc/rc.config and the setting is "YES"
Where is it being countermanded?
My system clock is way off, and it affects running cron jobs at the right times on freeNAS

If the clock is too far off ntpd will refuse to start. You have to set the clock manually to within 15 min and
then restart ntpd.

( easiest done through i shell using the date command)

Thanks peterh,
I didn't know it needed to be within 15 minutes (it was about 3 hours off)
