What's a recommended vdev size for storing all my jails?

I have 2x SSD slots on my server and would like to use these in mirror to store and backup my jails.

A recommended size for this purpose? If not, what size do you have dedicated to this in your server?

Thank you!

500GB is probably more than enough for the jails themselves. I have a couple of servers where my jails live on either 250 or 500GB SSDs. (less than 20% used)

I though I had 2x Samsung 850 Pro 256GB and it looks like I only had one. I was wondering if I should buy a second one on eBay or buy 2x brand new 500GB+ SSDs. I just made an offer on a 850/256gb on eBay, fingers crossed!

I have 5 jails on my TrueNAS Core 13 server.

They all use "Basejail".

They've all been fetched and upgraded to FreeBSD 13.1 releases.

The entirety of my iocage dataset, including all snapshots, is using 10 GiB.

(I cleared out my iocage/downloads dataset and any old or unused releases under iocage/releases.)

Alright, 256GB is more than enough! Thank you all for replying, I'll try to find another 850/256gb because I have OCDs!
