Greetings,
I have a desktop computer w/ 4x 1.5Tbs Seagate HDs hooked up directly to the MOBO controller and after having built a ZFS RAID-Z, even tho i am capable of transfering data to it, i loose the mount point immediately after reboot. I also have another volume consisting of 4x 250G WDC that i have no problems with. Regardless if i store data on the biggest of the two arrays after reboot FreeNAS 7 and 8 both go broken and some more features stop working w/out really telling me why.
Here's my system :
System Information
Hostname freenas.local
FreeNAS Build FreeNAS-8.0.4-RELEASE-p3-x64 (11703)
Platform AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+
Memory 3057MB
System Time Tue Jun 26 14:03:44 2012
Uptime 2:03PM up 3 mins, 0 users
Load Average 0.16, 0.28, 0.14
OS Version FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE-p9
After the reboot, here's what the status light tells me :
WARNING: The volume BiG (ZFS) status is
OK: The volume SMALL (ZFS) status is HEALTHY
Storage -> View All:
BiG /mnt/BiG None (Error) Error getting available space Error getting total space
I've also took a chance at looking at the logs under /var/log but couldn't find anything relevant. I'm also NOT a BSD guru but do know some Linux. Issuing "mount -a" at the TTY of the server also did not fixed the problem.
Anybody can help me out w/ this as i'm starting to grow more and more frustated...
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I forgot to mention that i DID tested all of those 4x 1.5Tbs Seagates on a separate system and SMART came out properly alongside write tests which were carried on for weeks.
