version 11.2 install stuck at "random unblocking device"

the USB was prepared using dd if=FreeNAS-11.2-RELEASE-U1.iso of=/dev/sdf bs=64k

and by the title of the thread wont even work, the hardware is working because it had running freenas for quite some time
