I would like to make a DEDICATED Veem box for backing up. I don't want a VM+FreeNAS etc etc.
How would I accomplish this? Would i need to make a VM off of the FreeNAS interface, so I can take care of the backups right on that machine to backup my VM's etc? Is this possible. I want this box to be completely independent. Nothing running off my host etc. The whole point being, in case I need to actually restore, I don't need to rely yon the host, vmware etc.
I am also not hellbent on VEEM. If there is something I can use with FreeNAS directly, I would use that too, with my iSCSI freenas, i saw some backup plugins.
