Good evening!
I have an old business server that I recently inherited (which is convenient timing as I want to build my first FreeNAS). The problem is...I'm a little concerned it may be too old to be all that useful.
It does run a 603/604 Xeon Processor (haven't had a chance to pull the heat sink yet to identify exactly which one).
Intel SE7525RP2 ATX Server Motherboard Dual 603/604 - Only has 2 SATA ports, it seems...so I'm not super hopeful.
2x512MB of DDR2 (also not promising...) ECC Ram
DVD Rom
Tape and Floppy drives :)))
And...a 150w power supply (it appears).
Is this thing too archaic to create a relatively useful FreeNAS out of? Also, tips on how to get the front door open would be appreciated...no key was provided.
Thanks in advance!
