Why does all the space belong to user/webdav?
How to delete?

webdav is an integrated user for webdav share support.
Even if you don't use it the user is there.

However: the user doesn't actually use space, it's just an error in the overview.

Yes:
If you make shares, make sure your permissions as set right in the share and permission interfaces.

When you create a webdav share there is a checkbox to change ownership of path to webdav:webdav. This is apparently what happened. You can use the permissions / acl editor to allow your other users to read/write to the share (recursively). Easiest path may be to open the ACL editor and add an entry for the group "builtin_users" granting MODIFY permissions with inheritance flag set to INHERIT (assuming this is TN Core).

If you want to avoid changing things, you might be able to add your user to the webdav group (which probably owns everything in the dataset).

Thank you for not leaving unanswered and trying to help me.

1. I added my user (Rerol) to the Webdav group, it doesn't work. (screenshot in attachment)
2. added the "builtin_users" group to the ACS (screenshot in the attachment). Is that correct?

maybe I'm doing something wrong ...

I have already done everything I can, even reinstalled the TRUENAS and set it up all over again, it did not help either.

With reinstalling, do you mean just reinstalling TrueNAS or both reinstalling TrueNAS AND setting up a new pool?
Because permissions are bound to the pool, not the TrueNAS installation.

You ever figure this out? I think I am going the route I took so far for everything true/free ass. That is only use for storage ans smb shares. I am going to my OMV to see if my mounted share can be shared as webdav and work.. Its a waste of time trying to things true/free ass. So much easier in other platforms to run services.

I do have the same issue. Created an account and added the user account and the user group to the webdav drive in file system via ACL.

With "No Authentication" chosen in webdav configuration, I can map the drive via Windows system and works perfectly fine. However, use browser, I don't need to login and just will let me enter the site without login and with only "read" (and "execute" I guess) but not "write". And same to map with Ubuntu, no matter I tried to use any account set in ACL, <user>@<ip>:port, to force to enter with the user account, still not prompt require password fill in but just let me in, and same with web login, I cannot enter with the correct user with right privileges.

When changed to "basic authentication" requirements, I found that it could only be set to "webdav" account but this "webdav" account is only a default http login account but not related to the "webdav" account in file system and related to any of its privileges. Other accounts login will not work.

I may need some help on how to make it works. I don't need to prompt web page login in web browser but could just login with correct user login to the file system to use the file.
