Updating Transmission to 2.61

Is it possible to update this plugin? Have noticed that despite the FreeNas revisions updating nightly, the plugins appear to be static and un updated for a rather long time now.
What is involved in updating this plugin? Has anyone done it successfully yet?

It takes time for the port maintainers of FreeBSD to update the ports before the FreeNAS developers can update the plugins, just the way it works. It's not the FreeNAS developers that can change this.
