I updated Core to 12.0-U6.1 and now the VGA console complains with the following...
ipmi0: Watchdog set returned 0xd5
ipmi0: Watchdog set returned 0xd5
ipmi0: Watchdog set returned 0xd5
ipmi0: Watchdog set returned 0xd5
ipmi0: Watchdog set returned 0xd5
...ad infinitum.
I've added a post init task "kldunload ipmi" to the startup and that's killed IPMI, but I've not had to do that prior.
Is there a compelling reason to keep IPMI enabled? If so then why the error now?
Platform is HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 with current BMC and ILO4.
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2687W v3 @ 3.10GHz
128 GB ECC RAM
Thanks
Danny
