Hi, I recently built a simple mirrored NAS using TrueNAS 12 using an old Dell Optiplex 9020 I got for free. Just 16GB of RAM, and I installed two SeaGate Iron Wolf 4TB drives. Everything else is pretty much stock (got this from an office).
I installed TrueNAS onto a simple USB stick, and had everything running fine until I tried to install Plex. The install ran successfully, and a video I was watching about setting it up called for me to select 'Stop' on the plugin before messing with some settings. I did so, and received several --unknown dhcp option value 0x7d messages with timestamps in my console. Suddenly the GUI was altogether inaccessible due to connection timeout. I shut down the machine for the night and tried booting it back up today. I was surprisingly able to login normally, seeming to be that the connection issue resolved itself on reboot. So this time, I tried to uninstall the Plex plugin, as it seems to be the source of the issue. I was met with the same DHCP messages and was again kicked off the GUI due to connection timeout.
What gives here? Should I/can I try to uninstall this plugin from CLI? Is it an issue to do with lack of RAM, or a router issue or something else? Please note that I am just a hobbyist with basically no CLI skills or knowledge. (I'm just ok at following instructions I find online!)
Please let me know if this has been answered elsewhere and I missed it, or if you all have any solutions. Thank you!
