Unable to login to FTP

Hello all,

I have run into an issue that has me stuck... I am trying to configure the FTP service on my primary Truenas system, and all I get when I try to log in is the following:

Command: USER mdecou
Response: 331 Password required for mdecou
Command: PASS **********
Response: 530 Login incorrect.

I am trying to log in from a local system... no firewall is in play. This happens for every account I try to login with. I have configured the service to allow local user logins, and I have configured the user to be in the FTP group. All permissions on the FTP folder are wide open.

If I allow root login, I am able to login on that account, but no other account works.

What is most puzzling to me is that I have a backup Truenas server, and the FTP service works perfectly on that. It seems that the FTP service is somehow not connecting to the user information on the system.

If anyone has any suggestions or has seen this before, I would love to hear about it.
