First, I have no idea what is really going on with this issue...

Came in after the weekend and this was occurring. Upon seeing this, removed the KVM VGA connection and the USB keyboard. Still continued to populate. No other USB devices on the server. The DO have a UPS. But it is just serving power. NOT CONNECTED to via USB or otherwise.

This started on 11.0-U3. Have update to 11.1-U1. Still occurring.

Basically, loops the following:
Code:
ums0 on uhub3
ums0: <Winbond Electronics Corp Hermon USB hidmouse Device, class 0/0, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 4> on usbus0
ums0: 3 buttons and [Z] coordinates ID=0
ukbd1 on uhub3
ukbd1: <Winbond Electronics Corp Hermon USB hidmouse Device, class 0/0, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 4> on usbus0
kbd3 at ukbd1
ums0: at uhub3, port 6, addr 4 (disconnected)
ums0: detached

Anyone else ever encountered this?

You should always share your hardware configuration so we have some idea what we are troubleshooting.

The snip you shared should not be repeating, but that is what is shown in the log when you start and stop the IPMI virtual console because the virtual console plugs in a virtual mouse and keyboard when you connect and unplugs them when you disconnect.
Have you been using the IPMI console?

Apologies sir.

X9SRH-7TF
Intel 2620 v4
96 GB ECC RAM
LSI-92078i
LSI-92078e
32 x 4TB HDDs
FreeNAS 11.1-U1

So yes, IPMI is reachable and we have used it. But we hadnt used the virtual console until recently today. And this had been going for a couple of days.

IPMI does not reboot when the server reboots, you have to direct it to reboot through the interface and the IPMI system (which is kind of like another computer inside your computer) can be rebooted without rebooting the server.
if you go to the IPMI generated web page, the top menu should have "Maintenance" as one of the tabs. Under the drop-down of that menu, there should be an option for "Unit Reset". That will reboot the IPMI interface and that might clear up the repetitive USB activity.
If the Firmware of the server has not been updated, you might want to consider that. There were some fairly recent improvements in the BMC and BIOS firmware (two different updates). Just be sure you are getting the correct download.

Just noticed in the GUI we can reset both the "Unit" and the "iKVM". Well give those a shot and report. I appreciate your help
