Trying to setup stripped vdevs similar to RAID10

I have (8) 2tb drives I'd like to setup as stripped vdevs or similar to what RAID10 would provide. I'm expecting to have around 8TB of usable storage.
I thought I would be setting it up with 2 Vdevs of 4 disks (Option 1), but it has 14.5TB of space.

So then I tried 4 Vdevs of 2 disks (Options 2), and it has the expected space, but seems odd to me.

I also came up with option 3 with 2 Vdevs of 4 disks in Raid-Z2 which also has the expect space.

Which option is closest to RAID-10. I'm looking for the higher IOPS.

more vdev = higher iops, what you actually need can only you tell..
there is no mirroring between vdevs, redundancy happens only in each vdev, make mirror pairs for max performance and dual raidz2 for slightly lower probability of pool loss.

The second option gives you what you want. 4x 2-disk mirrors. ZFS will distribute the writes across the mirrors.
