TrueNAS Scale with SMB Shares

Question, I instlaled TNS on a bare metal system and I ran into an issue where I wanted to be able to have SMB shares setup on the storage but then I could not deploy apps using it. Was I do something wrong or can you not have NFS or SMB shrares setup on the system if you are doing containers??
