transmission with remote gui

I would like to install transmission manually in a jail with the remote gui instead of the webui that comes with it currently installed. I know there is a plugin but for my own DYI I would like to go through the entire process to understand the steps. However is all else falls and there is no guide or tutorial I would still like to know how to use the remote gui
