Transmission 2x non technical questions

Hi I have for a long time FreeNAS-8.2.0.RELEASE-p1-x86 (r11950) working just as I want it.

I'm running it on an old PC and booting off a USB stick.

I'm considering installing jail and the transmission plugin.

I don't really want to tinker and maybe break for no good reason what I have.

Q.1. Do jail and the transmission plugin go on the USB stick or must it go on one of the hard drives?
Q.2. If I install jail and the transmission plugin will I be able to configure it to go trough an off-site proxy?

1. You must use your volume/pool
2. I believe so, transmission will run on http://jailip:9091, it should be easy enough to proxy it.

SOCKS V5 Proxy

I have installed the Jail and Transmission without any problems.

Please an anyone tell me how I can configure Transmission to connect through a SOCKS V5 proxy.

I can not find anywhere to set up details like HOST, PORT, USERID, PASSWORD Etc.

Could it be that it is not possible?

I have dug around and unless I'm mistaken Transmission stopped supporting SOCKS PROXY (including V5) from Transmission Version 2.12.

(The FreeNas Transmission plugin is Version 2.51)
