To use ZFS how much RAM do i need?

Hi,

I heard that to use ZFS i need a lot of RAM and because im a newbie on using FreeNAS i wanted to know if i have the needed RAM to run ZFS or if i need to buy more.

Bellow i leave you with my server hardware specs and hard drives details. I really appreciate if someone can help me on this and tell me if i need to buy more RAM.

Server:
HP Microserver N40L
CPU: AMD Turion II Neo 1.5 GHz
RAM: 4GB

Hard drives (my server takes 4 hardrives):
2 x 2 TB Hardrives
2 x 1 TB Harddrives

So do i need more than 4GB RAM? In terms of using this FreeNAS server will be 3 people on working hours.

Use 8Gb sticks of ECC RAM. I have 16Gb in my N54L.

btw, if you go with a hacked BIOS, you can add 2 additional drives in the ODD bay.
