So, I was wondering if there is anyone here that owns this chassis. Silly me, I was too preoccupied with looking at the specs and not the pictures.
Anyways, I saw that this thing supports 6xSATA, so I *assumed* it also has enough space in the chassis to house that many hard drives.
Needless to say, it appears to have space for at most 3 hard drives (I could be wrong and maybe it has enough space for all 6 in placements I'm not aware of) from what I can tell.

So, my question to any of you who owns and runs this chassis, how do you remedy the lack of space? (I only need space for 4 hard drives at the moment). In the case that my assumption is wrong and it indeed has enough space, could you guys perhaps enlighten me on how to mount/place them?

Thanks in advance!

It has space for 6 HDDs.

if you use 2.5" drives of 7-9.5mm height and stack 3 of them in the place where one 3.5" HDD resides...

want 4x hotswap? http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5018/SYS-5018D-MTF.cfm
want redundant PSU on top? http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5018/SYS-5018D-MTRF.cfm
or rather 4x LAN onboard? http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5018/SYS-5018D-MTLN4F.cfm

I've got the latter running on another continent. It's remarkably quiet for a rackmount server and houses additional 2.5" SSDs easily.

Yeah, that's going to be a problem since I already have 4x 3.5" with a semi-filled pool. Buying a different model is out of the question since it's already here and between 15% restocking fee plus shipping and the difference for the other model, I'd be paying for almost half of another similar chassis.

I think I may have figured somewhat a workaround though.
