Supermicro PCI Express x4 Low Profile SAS RAID Controller (AOC-SASLP-MV8) NOT WORKING

Guys please i just rebuilt my box! this particular card apparently doesn't get picked up by FREENAS 8 . I am new to all of this, can anyone tell me if this card will eventually work? so i can sell it and get something that actually works. thanks you all so much

The safe choice for HBA's is to buy something based on an LSI chipset...odds are you will want something that uses the 2008 chipset that supports 2,2+TB drives. Supermicro sells them if you have\want to build an all Supermicro system, IBM has a very popular 8 port card, the M1015.

SUPERMICRO is strange in my book! i am still waiting for people to respond on the official forum too:

this message is straight from them: Saeed Siddiki, We don’t have any Marvell website as reference for AOC-SASLP-MV8 which using Marvell 6480 chipset. Technical Support ES" --

1st message: "Saeed Siddiki, We don’t have any plan to support FREENAS 8 for AOC-SASLP-MV8. The driver is supply by Marvell haven’t receive any update from Marvell. Technical Support ES" --- so i guess me and others should start a petition for making this work with FREENAS 8!

Anyone know if this card works with FreeNAS now? Supermicro HBA AOC-SASLP-MV8
