Hello,
I have been using Supermicro X10SLL-F for some years. I installed a PCIE sata controller for the boot disk in order to use all the 6 built-in ports, a ASM1061 based card as someone suggested (not for ZRAID, just a boot drive).
Therefor I have got 6 disks connected on the built-in ports and a seventh one in the additional PCIE card.
The problem is when I boot and access the BIOS I can only see 6 disks. One of the disks in built in ports is not listed. But as soon as I disconnect a disk (it doesn't mater which one), and check again the BIOS, I have again 6 disks and the lost disk is present.
Of course in truenas I get the same result, I can only see 6 disks. And it does not seem a problem with the pcie card, I'm running truenas right now from that disk. Somehow it seems a BIOS limitation.
Does anyone know what can be the problem?
