Hi,
firstly a confession: I haven't read the manual yet (and I'm sorry!).
I please wonder what's the ideal setup for installing and booting Free(soon to be True)NAS.

I guess 2 SSD drives mirrored in RAID, right?
I guess Enterprise quality drives is better.
And I also guess they should ideally be drives from this list (SSDs with Power Loss Protection).

Let's say I do all of the above, now what I wonder in details is:
- who provides the RAID functionalty, FreeNAS or an hardware RAID is suggested? (I know it's a no-no for storage)
- what about if I'll be an half cheap-ass and put in raid a good enterprese SSD with Power Loss Protection with an el cheapo one.. would it defeat all of the benefist of the good drive, especially the Power Loss Protection feature? (I know an UPS is a must)

Thank you guys! :)

Mirrored enterprise SSDs, FreeNAS handling the redundancy via ZFS. PLP isn't critical on a boot device but it's always good to have it. Intel DC S3500 80GB drives are dirt cheap on eBay, so don't even bother with an el cheapo, just get two of those and call it a day.
