I was wondering if there is a way to get IPv6 to work with the stock tftp server, IPv4 working fine and I can ping the ipv6 address.

Yes I can, I have also got it to work on my other tftp server running centos7 by editing the tftp configuration file. I just don't know ware or what file I need to edit on freenas. Thanks for you reply.

If you need to edit a file it won't survive an upgrade or reboot. I would suggest creating a feature request
