I have read a lot of threads on the topic given above but failed to achieve my task.
The task is to have authentication from ssh and web login be it a failure or success sent do external syslog server.
I have tried editing /etc/syslog.conf and /usr/local/etc/syslog-ng.conf but without any success.
I know that the answer is somewhere in editing a line or two from those two files, but i am afraid to do anything deep not to brake internal mechanism of the embedded system.
Persistance can be achived with post-init scripts but i need someone to shed me some light on the subject. There is already an old request for making fine grain control over syslog, but i understand that it is not a priority right now.
Any contribution or guideline could be helpful.
