SOLVED: Need some clarity on having two active NICs

Can you please opine whether having two active NICs would cause issues in TS Scale (each with a different local IP, of course)? Can they be on the same VLAN? I have a second NIC on my motherboard and would like to utilize it for my surveillance cameras. I have a bunch of surveillance cameras running, recording, and writing 24/7. Although they don't take much bandwidth and don't saturate my main NIC, I wanted to explore the idea of pointing those surveillance cameras to this second NIC that I have. I did some research on this topic but the comments are mixed. Some say you need a separate VLAN; some say it will cause issues with bridging (not sure what they meant); some says it's not an issue but require some configuration.

Lookup multiple interfaces on same subnet... generally not allowed.

As Morgan says, TrueNAS (CORE or SCALE) ordinarily doesn't allow multiple interfaces on the same subnet. If you have a managed switch, you can LAGG them together, or you can put them on a different subnet (physical or VLAN).

Ok noted. I do have a managed switch and will look into setting up two different VLANs / subnets.
