Moving files from my WIN10 machine to the FreeNAS Server gives me around 11MB/s which is absurdly low.
Cable is good, IPV6 is not configured.
Any ideas?

11mb sounds like 100mbit.
Please do an iperf test and report the results

Yeh do an iperf test, also make sure the lights on the ethernet port are flashing the colours to indicate gigabit, some motherboards and NICs vary between manufacturer as to the indicator colours.

Indeed iperf shows it's running om 100mbit.
My FreeNAS MB has two 10Gb connections, my WIN10 Machine got a 1Gb connection and I'm using a TP-LINK router (TL-WR841N ) that has 4 1Gb ports.
how do we go from here?

Are you able to find out the model number of the 10 Gig NIC and the 1Gig NIC your running.

Also if you have another gigabit enabled device try an iperf test between your client and the other device to make sure it's not your client causing the slow speeds.

Just checked online I recommend you read the hardware spec sheet for your router the ports are 10/100Mbit so your router is the bottleneck.

Easiest solution, just get a good small gigabit switch to do all your ethernet connections, something like the Netgear GS105E

It's an easy thing to overlook in your network I did it but with a cable instead.

Damn what a silly mistake... I was sure it was 1Gb router... Sorry for being so reckless. Thanks :)

Don't worry about it, easy mistake to make. Just get a good gigabit switch to do all your ethernet jobs. Netgear have always been good in my experience.

Hope your able to get it all working again soon.

Good luck
