Hi,
since long time i've noted that shares are no longer visible in finder when I'm running VM's. It happen at the same moment that VM is available.... In I'm restarting shares, they become once again visible but unstable. IPv6 is configured (even if I'm not using it ).

Does anyone has some solution or walkaround ?

Thanks and regards

Sounds like either an IP conflict or both the share and VM are using the same storage.

dlavigne thanks for your reply, i'm using separate nic that is dedicated to VM. I've also created a dedicated pool for VM's that is separate from main pool.

If this is reproducible on 11.2-U6, please create a report at bugs.ixsystems.com and post the issue number here.

Finally SOLVED ;) ... You were right, it was an IP conflict caused by my inexperience and specially for not having read carefully the manual. I so sorry for that . Basically the mistake was having 2 nics on a same subnet that is widely explained Multiple network interfaces on a single subnet and in may other places. I had both nics with a single IP for each, AFP was assigned to secondary nic together with VM. When VM was off, there were no issue regarding AFP announce, but when running VM IP "slot" was busy and AFP auto discovery was not available. I solve the matter assigning multiple IP (same subnet) on primary card for services (AFP,FTP...) and secondary card other range of IP's dedicated to VM's. With a static route they can communicate. Thank You very much for your help.
